Pool/spa inspection

Picture
Swimming pools and spas should always be happy places.

Unfortunately, each year thousands of American families confront swimming pool and spa tragedies, drownings and near-drownings of young children and adults.
These inspections not only look for mechanical functionality but safety devices, barriers.

We will
inspect from ground level: the plumbing;
  1. the filters;
  2. the lights;
  3. any adjoining structure as it relates to the pool or spa;
  4. the valves;
  5. the solar heating system;
  6. the pumps and motors;
  7. the electrical system;
  8. the filtration system;
  9. the pool heater; and
  10. the safety barriers.

II. The inspector shall describe:
  1. the type of swimming pool or spa;
  2. details impacting the inspector’s ability to inspect the unit, including water clarity;
  3. the condition of visible components or systems present in the unit;
  4. the type of drain installed;
  5. any readily accessible component with functional or material defects;
  6. the type of filtration system; and
  7. the types of safety barriers.

III. The inspector shall report as in need of correction:
  1. observed indications of active pool or spa shell leaks;
  2. damaged water line tiles;
  3. damaged or faulty drain covers, pumps; heaters or filter housings;
  4. inadequate drainage;
  5. improper settlement of pool deck; and
  6. any visibly unsafe or improper pool equipment, electrical connections, or bonding connections.
